They giveaway new stuff every month. Next month is Lip Perfection Lipstick.

*Have I mentioned that I am BzzAgent? I thought so. :)

full disclosure

I am a Bzz Agent. I am SURE that I have mentioned that time or two or a million right? Well, just in case the answer is a negative. I am most certainly a bzz agent. Please tell me you have heard about this program... for realsies people it is amazing. I have been a member since April 2006. (whoa, that has been awhile. Baby A wasn't even a twinkle in my eye at that point.) Do yourself a huge favor and check out the BzzAgent site. A BzzAgent is a person that likes to spread the word on cool products. I am definitely one of those people. I am also the type of person who likes FREE stuff. Seriously, free. No shipping, no handling, no nothing... just free product and coupons delivered to your door. All you do... fill out surveys so the powers that bee (get it? bee... buzz... I slay myself) at Bzz can figure out what you like. Fill out said surveys, enjoy free swag and tell your friends. Simple right? I thought so. Also, you are welcome in advance for the introduction. :)

Just a typical Sunday afternoon

10/10/10 just another day right? Well, sort of. I spent my Sunday afternoon meeting Stevie Wonder, musical legend. :) No big deal.

I guess that I am a photographer.

I started a Flickr account so that it would be easier to share pictures with everyone. Well, I guess that it has paid off. I received an email yesterday that a photo that I took (and can be found on my Flickr account) is on the short list to be included in the twelfth edition of Schmap Chicago Guide. You can check out the eleventh edition here. It doesn't pay anything, the guide is free... but, if my picture is picked I get my name below a picture that I took.

Here is the picture that may be included.

This is the view out of our window while staying at the Doubletree. Lake Michigan can be seen between the buildings.

(This is the exact blog post that I used for our family blog too.)

I would like to introduce you to...

my new best friend. (It is not a great friendship to form when you are trying to lose weight.) I love him. His name is Micro S'Mores.

Yup, I said it. My new best friend is a handy little gadget that makes my most favorite dessert in the microwave. No open flames, no burnt marshmallows... just melty, yummy, gooey goodness.
It even came with a recipe book. Who needs a recipe for a S'More? Well, my darling readers... it was full of amazingly delicious sounding variations. I decided to be adventurous and try it out with an Almond Joy instead of the typical chocolate bar. Holy moly, it is my new favorite thing ever.

I wouldn't suggest using more than one marshmallow, it kind of oozes out of the graham cracker and makes a bit of a messy dessert.

*I didn't get compensated in any way for this review. Just my humble opinion.

Favorite mommy products

I just realized that since becoming a mom, I have drastically changed my shower gifts. No more receiving blankets. (I cut half of mine up and covered an old bulletin board. Yup, I am crafty like that.)

So here is my random list of my favorite products. Enjoy.

Hylands Teething Tablets- seriously the only reason I have lived through 2 kids teething. Seriously.

Munchkin Mesh Feeder- I am a big fan on homemade baby food. I love this because I got to introduce grapes and blueberries without freaking out that my little baby will choke to death. The best part- it is available in a two pack. That means one went to Grandma's house and one stayed home.

Nuk pacifiers- After 2 babies these were the only ones my kids would take.

Playtex Vent Aire wide bottles- I used the regular Vent Aire bottles with #1, and this time around I discovered the wides. I love these bottles. I hear that they even have a BPA free bottles now.

Bordeaux's Butt Paste- This stuff is magic. I have even used this on very chapped noses and I stand by my claim. Magic.

Gerber cloth diapers- No, I am not a cloth mama. (Yet. I really want to be but, haven't taken the plunge financially yet.) I have heard that the Gerber prefolds aren't all that great as actual diapers, though they make amazing burp cloths.

contests galore

I have run into a ton of fun contests lately. I am really excited about this one though. Emma love Build A Bear. The idea that I could win her a $25 gift card would be awesome!! The turtle, the penguin and the elephant are calling my her name.

Check out http://www.keeperofthecheerios.com/ and enter to win yourself. (Or not... more of a chance for me to win.)

Damn those informercials are GOOD!!!

I have always been a sucker for a good infomercial. I mean how many other 12 year olds that you knew asked for a Ronco food dehydrated for their birthday. True story that I asked for it, even better... I got it. I made fruit leather, beef jerky, bagel chips and a plethora of dried fruits for months. Now, I am pretty sure that it is sitting in my mom's basement. Either way, I have been sucked into the magic of infomercials from a young age. Heck, I was fighting sleep the other night to stay up and watch the Cricut Expressions one. It is a sickness, I swear. If I had a disposable income, I would own soooo much infomercial stuff. Rob has recently been suckered into a particular one. The ShamWOW! I mean how could you not? Vince (that is the guy who is selling it... Vince- I know because we are super tight like that.) is wearing a headset, for no real reason. He talks loud and fast (but not loud and obnoxiously like Billy Mays), and asks the camera guy if he is following him. The whole thing is hypnotic. Rob has even gone to the extent of quoting it on pretty much a daily basis "You are going to spend $20 a month on paper towels anyway." I have actually owned a ShamWow! and that shit is AWESOME!! One drunken night in my past a neighbor and I dumped a whole gallon of water on the floor to see if it would pick it up. (It did!!)
Rob is out picking up lunch today. He is coming up on the American Eagle superstore, it sells all sorts of random stuff... lots of as seen on TV stuff. He then sees a giant scrolling sign that seems as if it directly from the informercial gods. "SHAMWOW $10" What does he do?? He pulls in and goes and buys his precious ShamWow. He did admit that he was laughing hysterically to himself while buying. I am sure that the cashier thought that he was certifiably insane. The joy he got from coming home and presenting me with his new purchase was worth the $10. He then promptly went in the kitchen and dumped a couple cups of water on the floor, just to test it out.
We are seriously an advertisers dream.
